Star Trek Diplomacy

ST: Diplomacy Fan Series is a project inspired by the world of Star Trek. The story takes place in the early 70s of the 24th century, when the United Federation of Planets, which in this future the Earth is a part of, is at war with the powerful Dominion. This is when our diplomatic ship U.S.S. Masaryk leaves the port to reach the necessary agreements and compromises necessary for surviving this difficult time by all means.

The concept is meant as a conversational political satire, a tribute to British sitcoms such as "Yes, Minister". The length of the episodes is consistent with the duration of these works, that is under 20 minutes.

The whole idea originated in the summer of 2013. Based on previous experience with a demanding post-production, it was decided to shoot the entire series in a real environment. At the end of 2014 we were able to find and rent suitable premises and we spent the whole year 2015 constructing the set (bridge of the starship, captain’s ready room...). At the same time we started other preparations for the actual filming - sewing the uniforms and other costumes, making prosthetics and rehearsing the dialogues.

You will find more and more information released on this website as the project progresses. Stay tuned!

Captain Alekos Pargimeos

An experienced negotiator and a brilliant diplomat, who is at home wherever there is need for patience, listening, compromise and agreement. He sees the strength of the United Federation of Planets in its diversity and ability to cooperate. If necessary, he is capable of many intrigues and dubious methods in the interest of the greater good and saving the many. In matters of command he is insecure and often makes concessions to Commander Laverna.

Commander Laverna

Number One to Captain Pargimeos, she is very committed to the ship and Starfleet. She places security and fleet goals before the diplomatic ones and sometimes enters a conflict with the captain, especially when it considers his dubious methods. She is a better officer, she knows more about the commanding of the ship and she is well aware of it. In service moral value of her actions is of importance, she believes in higher ideals. She loves military history and is a great strategist.
